1. You submit your service request. Once you describe the job, we forward it to an independent contractor who reviews the details and provides pricing.
2. You approve the quote before anything is scheduled. You’ll see the contractor’s pricing upfront. Nothing is charged automatically without your approval.
3. FixLoop processes your payment as the contractor’s limited payment collection agent. This simply means FixLoop is authorized to collect payment on behalf of the contractor. FixLoop does not charge for the repair work itself — that payment belongs to the contractor.
4. The contractor completes the work. All services are performed solely by the independent contractor you were matched with.
5. Once the job is completed, payment is released to the contractor. FixLoop sends the contractor their earnings (minus FixLoop’s platform/service fee).
6. You receive a receipt and job summary. Everything is documented and stored for your records.

Yes. FixLoop is a licensed contracting company qualified by a state-licensed General Contractor.
This allows us to legally coordinate and subcontract work that requires licensing or permits. The actual labor is performed by skilled independent professionals who operate within the appropriate legal and trade requirements.

FixLoop uses secure pre-authorized payments through Stripe to protect both customers and contractors.
When you book a service, your payment method is authorized, but you’re not charged until the job is completed and approved.
This ensures your funds are protected, your contractor is verified, and your repair is complete without paying upfront.

Your satisfaction matters to us. If an issue arises, FixLoop will step in to help coordinate a resolution.
While contractors are responsible for their workmanship and warranties, FixLoop assists with communication, documentation, and scheduling so concerns are handled efficiently. Most issues are resolved quickly with a corrective visit from the contractor.

You provide details and photos of the work needed. This helps us match you with the right professional. A qualified independent contractor reviews your request, confirms they can handle the service, and accepts the project. FixLoop may reach out if we need additional details to ensure accuracy. Once a contractor accepts the job, you’ll be presented with available appointment windows. You can select the time that works best for your schedule.
You’ll receive a confirmation with:
the scheduled time window
your contractor’s name
any notes or preparation tips (if needed)
On the day of service, your contractor will provide an ETA update as they head your way. FixLoop keeps communication open to ensure a smooth arrival.
Life happens — and we’re here to help:
Need to adjust the schedule? Just let us know through the platform.
Contractor running slightly behind? FixLoop helps coordinate updates promptly.
After the job is finished, the contractor uploads photos and completion notes. You review and approve the work before payment is released.
