Terms of Service
Welcome to FixLoop.
By accessing or using the FixLoop website, forms, or services (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service.
FixLoop — Homeowner Terms of Service
These Homeowner Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of FixLoop LLC’s (“FixLoop,” “we,” “us”) platform for booking home repair and improvement services.
FixLoop is designed to give homeowners peace of mind by providing clear communication, reliable support, and access to qualified independent professionals. By booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Our Role: A Professional Support Platform
FixLoop connects customers with skilled independent contractors (“Contractors”) and supports the process from booking through completion.
To be clear:
-
FixLoop does not perform the labor.
-
Contractors operate independently and provide their own tools, skills, and expertise.
-
FixLoop coordinates communication, organizes project details, and helps ensure everything progresses smoothly.
This structure allows us to provide an organized, user-friendly experience while contractors maintain full responsibility for the work they perform.
2. Contractor Responsibility
Contractors using our platform are responsible for:
-
the quality and professionalism of their work
-
compliance with building codes and safety standards
-
obtaining permits when required
-
providing their own warranties
-
correcting workmanship issues related to their labor
FixLoop monitors the process and may assist with coordination, but the contractor is the party performing and warranting the work.
3. Booking, Job Details & Estimates
To ensure accuracy:
-
Customers must provide clear descriptions and photos.
-
Contractors may request additional information or job adjustments.
-
If project conditions differ from what was submitted, the contractor may propose a revised estimate.
-
FixLoop assists in communicating any updates prior to work beginning.
4. Payments & Authorization
We use a secure, transparent payment structure:
-
Customer submits a booking request.
-
FixLoop places a pre-authorization hold on the payment method.
-
Work is completed and submitted.
-
Customer approves the job.
-
FixLoop releases payment to the contractor.
FixLoop’s service fee (15%) is included in the quoted price.
Customers agree not to initiate chargebacks for approved work.
5. FixLoop Satisfaction Assurance
Your satisfaction matters. While FixLoop does not control or perform the work, we are committed to assisting throughout the process.
If you have concerns with the quality of the work performed:
-
Notify FixLoop within 3 days of completion.
-
We will promptly reach out to the contractor, gather details, and facilitate a resolution.
-
In many cases, this involves the contractor returning to address any issues.
FixLoop does not provide refunds or perform repairs directly, but we work actively to support communication, clarity, and appropriate follow-up.
6. Permits & Code Compliance
Some work requires permits or a licensed professional.
-
Contractors determine permit requirements.
-
Contractors must pull necessary permits under their own license or under FixLoop’s qualifying agent when authorized.
-
FixLoop is not responsible for unpermitted work or code violations.
We can help customers understand typical permit expectations, but the contractor remains the responsible party.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
-
provide accurate job information
-
maintain a safe, accessible workspace
-
secure pets and valuables
-
communicate promptly
-
review and approve work in a timely manner
8. Cancellations
-
Customers may cancel before contractor dispatch at no charge.
-
If a contractor has arrived or materials have been purchased, cancellation fees may apply.
-
FixLoop may cancel bookings for safety or scheduling issues.
9. Liability Limitations
To maintain a smooth platform environment:
-
FixLoop is not liable for contractor workmanship, property damage, delays, or injuries.
-
Warranties and corrections are handled by the contractor directly.
-
FixLoop’s role is to support communication and coordination between the parties.
10. Dispute Resolution
FixLoop assists with communication to help resolve concerns efficiently, but final responsibility for workmanship and corrections rests with the contractor.
11. Platform Integrity
To maintain fairness and transparency:
-
Hiring FixLoop contractors off-platform is prohibited.
-
All communication and payments must remain through FixLoop.
12. Modifications
FixLoop may update these Terms to improve clarity and operations. Continued use signifies acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which FixLoop LLC is registered.
By using FixLoop, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms and to our commitment to delivering a well-supported, high-quality experience.
FixLoop — Contractor Terms of Service

These Contractor Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between FixLoop LLC (“FixLoop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and the independent contractor (“Contractor,” “you”) who applies to perform services through the FixLoop platform.

When required, permits must be obtained under your license or, when authorized, under FixLoop’s qualifying agent.
-
You agree to perform work only within your legal and professional scope.
-
FixLoop does not assume responsibility for unpermitted or improperly licensed work.
We may help customers understand general permit expectations, but the final responsibility rests with you as the trade professional.
4. Workmanship & Warranty
You stand behind your craftsmanship.
-
You agree to provide work that meets professional standards.
-
You are responsible for correcting workmanship issues or defects that arise from your labor.

You provide your own warranties; FixLoop does not warranty labor on your behalf.
FixLoop may help coordinate communication so issues can be resolved smoothly.
5. Insurance & Risk
To protect all parties, you agree to maintain:
-
general liability insurance (or acknowledge full personal risk)
-
workers’ compensation or an exemption, if applicable
Contractors assume full responsibility for their work, safety, and decisions on the job.
6. Taxes & Business Obligations
You handle your own:
-
taxes
-
business filings
-
licensing
-
financial reporting
FixLoop does not withhold taxes or provide employment benefits.

-
upload completion notes and photos
-
communicate professionally throughout the process
FixLoop supports the workflow by helping align expectations, keeping both sides informed, and facilitating smooth project completion.
8. Payments

-
Customer pre-authorizes payment.
-
Work is completed and submitted.
-
Customer approves the job.

FixLoop may assist in resolving misunderstandings, though final responsibility for workmanship remains with you.
9. Conduct Expectations

provide accurate information

-
your work
-
your conduct
-
your warranties and obligations
FixLoop does not provide or supervise labor and is not liable for contractor-caused damages.
11. Non-Circumvention
All jobs obtained through FixLoop must remain on the platform. You agree not to solicit or accept off-platform work from FixLoop customers.
12. Termination
Either party may end the relationship at any time. FixLoop may suspend access for policy violations or safety concerns.
13. Governing Law
These Terms follow the laws of the state in which FixLoop LLC is registered.
